ok, bear with me -fenring is not sardukar, muad'dib is not sardukar, fremen who are trained by muad'dib are better than sardukar, but is better than sardukar, but fenring can take muad'did, this must mean that fenring is the best figher in the universe???? does this make sense??? 0 out of 1 found this valuable. but duncan defeated fenring in house corrino, so by that logic duncan is the best fighter. And if you follow that path of logic duncan gets killed by sardaukar so we go full circle.

It's not clear Fenring could take Paul after he had the spice trip.Duncan was killed because he was ganged up on 20-1. And Duncan trained Paul, along with Gurney, who Duncan says would beat him "7 times in 10". Do you find this valuable? |

And none of the sardaukar had the residual precience that Fenring (maybe Duncan too) or the Fremen had.Do you find this valuable? |

I would argue that Miles Teg after awakening his prescient powers is the best fighter in the universe; demonstrated by how easily he crushed the honored matres. I don't believe that Paul, Duncan, or Fenrig would be able to take on Honored Matres (or Reverend Mothers) so easily. I don't doubt that any of the above mentioned could kill a mother or matre, but matre after matre after matre, I highly doubt, as Teg did

Keep in mind that there cannot be a "best" fighter in the series due to an ever changing evolution in human abilities throughout the novels. You can only speculate on who is the "best" at a particular point in time.
