Profession Information

A rank of leadership among the Fremen of Arrakis, the Naib (نائب meaning viceroy or deputy in Arabic) was a position given to the the strongest and wisest member of a Sietch. A Naib would be the sole commander of that Sietch, and command his Fremen as best he could. The position was attainable through a fight to the death, wherein the victor would not only be given the title, but the water of the Naib he had defeated.
