Used by the Spacing Guild to contain and protect their Guild Navigators, Guild Navigator tanks were large, anti-gravitational tanks of spice gas, in which a Navigator could survive. Their bodies would be suspended in mid-air, and a constant flow of the gas would permeate the tank, being released in vents after use. A small speaker-like outlet, placed on the tank, usually at the side, allowed the Navigator to communicate. Ordinarily, these tanks, and their respective Navigators, were guarded by a contingent of Guild servants.
