Biographical Information

Daughter of Paul Atreides "Muad'Dib" and Chani, Sister of Leto II. Ghanima, along with her twin Leto II, were pre-born when their mother Chani underwent the ancient fremen spice diet to counteract the contraceptive that had been secretly given to her by the Princess Irulan to stop her from introducing a Fremen blood-tie into the Atreides line. She was later symbolicly married to Leto II after his ascension to the throne of the Impirium, but was allowed to take Farad'n Corrino as her mate. It is said that they had at least ten children named Trebor, Lliwis, Regor, Tismenus, Boris, Eleanor, Helene, Elaine, Jeunne, and Noree. It is also said, in the God Emperor of Dune, by the Duncan Idaho ghola, that "the Tleilaxu history said that Ghanima had died after a relatively normal life."

Both her and her brother were portrayed as nine year olds in the book, Children of Dune, but were teenagers in the mini series. It is also said, in God Emperor of Dune, by the Duncan Idaho ghola, that "the Tleilaxu history said that Ghanima had died after a relatively normal life."
