When a section of text on a page has become of sufficient high quality, it may become featured (featured text is recognised as being on a page when the
is at its top left corner), and will spend some time on the home page, as well as being added to the List of Featured Text page. What defines featured quality text is the use of vocabulary, and the writers ability to explain the topic at hand without causing confusion. Even featured quality text may be edited, and so this may mean that an older version of the text on a page was the featured version. Featured text, when edited on its page, is not to be updated on the List of Featured Text page. In other-words, it is not the text itself that is featured, but the current version of the text when it becomes featured.See Also
